Before You Begin

Before you begin to download and install ICC printer color profiles for use on a computer workstation, be sure that you have Internet access available, preferably high-speed or broadband.  You may also wish to have some sort of removable storage device available to make backup copies of the profiles for future reference.

6              Next, the Drivers & Downloads page for the appropriate operating system will appear.  On Epson’s website, you have one of two choices for obtaining printer profiles.  The first choice is to download the latest printer driver which, when installed, will also install automatically a set of generic color profiles for your printer into the appropriate location.  The second choice is to download the custom profiles created for the selected printer and run its installer, where they also will be placed in the correct location within your operating system and/or image editing application.

In this example, we will obtain the custom profiles available for the Epson Stylus Photo 2200.  Just below the Drivers & Downloads page heading, you will see a link for Premium ICC Profiles for Stylus Photo 2200.  Click on the link and it will direct you to the page where you will be able to select the custom profiles you wish to download.

7              When the webpage for Premium ICC Printer Profiles for the Epson Stylus Photo 2200 appears, you will be presented with a list of profiles you can download, sorted by both Media (Paper) type and by the operating system you are using.  Click on the appropriate link available to initiate the downloading of the custom color profile.

For example, if you are using a Macintosh workstation and need a color profile for the Premium Luster photo paper you, click on the Mac link located to the right of the listing for Premium Luster Photo Paper and the profile installer will begin to download itself to the default location you have set your web browser to save files to.  Repeat this step for each custom printer profile you wish to acquire.  In the end, the profiles you selected will have its installer file saved onto your computer, ready to begin the installation process.
